System TM Partners with Microtec for Fast and Precise Cross-Cut Saw Solution

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – System TM introduces the new Opti-Kap 5000 with Microtec Goldeneye scanner providing fast and precise cross-cutting for manufacturers of wood flooring, windows and doors, moulding and millwork, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and cut components. The solution is ideal for productions in which final cut and length accuracy is critical.

The Opti-Kap 5000 is equipped with six double supported rollers that allow the saw to achieve processing speeds of up to 1,640 feet per minute. Integrated with the Microtec Goldeneye scanner, the Opti-Kap offers sophisticated automatic defect detection.  The Goldeneye is a modular system that can be customized to specific production and material needs.  It features a low-power X-ray scanning unit that allows operators to determine exact information about the rough density, knots, imperfections and position of the materials.
