Homag Introduces New woodCAD/CAM Design-to-Machine Software

New woodCAD/CAM software simplifies manufacturing process with integrated project management tools

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Homag introduces new woodCAD/CAM software to perform parametric 3D design and modeling of furniture and components for custom wood workers and shops that work with small lot sizes or have a high degree of product variability. WoodCAD/CAM gives shops the ability to plan, quote, present and manage their project with a direct link to the machine for production.

WoodCAD/CAM generates elevation, cross section and exploded views with automatic dimensioning. It features an up-to-date library of intelligent fittings, free-shape 3D modeling capabilities, and automatic generation of BOM and cutting lists. Automated computer numeric controlled (CNC) programming takes data directly from the 3D design to the machine to complete the order with automatic tool assignments, barcode labeling, and integration with the machine’s programming software.

The Homag woodCAD/CAM software simplifies the production process chain with integrative tools that go directly from sales to the machine. Homag is sold in the U.S. exclusively by Stiles Machinery.
