GRIND200
Grinding Concepts and Operation
Quality and accurate moulding is dependent upon precise tooling. Precision, either by sharpening straight knives or creating custom profiles, can be accomplished efficiently in-house for the prolonged life of solid wood equipment.
Beginning with an introduction to grinding concepts, terminology, and safety, this in-person course continues by detailing universally accepted methods for manual sharpening and shaping of knife blanks.
Exploring profile templates by emphasizing accurate measurements, positioning, angles, and wood species, learners will uncover the full capabilities of their profile grinding equipment, reduce moulder set-up time, and eliminate pre-production waste.
